How To Avoid The Crowds at Maya Bay? Book These Tours

Maya Bay is getting busy again

Maya Bay's reopening and the start of high season is luring lots of people to one of the world's most famous beaches!

Below picture was taken at 11 AM on a sunny day in October, even before high season. Massive crowds are appearing again around this time of the day with boat tours Phi Phi, Phuket and Krabi.

How to visit Maya Bay without the crowds

Wouldn't it be great to visit Maya Bay with just a few people? It is possible.

Maya Bay opens at 7 AM and closes at 6 PM, with the last tourists allowed to enter at 5 PM. One good thing to know is that a boat tour from Phuket or Krabi will not allow you to be early or late enough at Maya Bay. Day tours from mainland need about 1 hour of transit to reach the Phi Phi Leh island.

The best way to experience Phi Phi's beauty to the fullest is to take a boat tour that starts from Phi Phi Don which is just a 10 minute ride to Phi Phi Leh, where Maya Bay is located. Some of the tours at Discover Phi Phi are designed in the way to skip the peak times at most places, especially Maya Bay.

Our Sunrise Glory Speedboat Tour departs at 6.30 AM and you will be one of the first few people of the day to visit the famous Leonardo DiCaprio beach!

The Sunset Deluxe Speedboat Tour sets sail at 12 PM but takes you first to amazing snorkel spots, Pileh Lagoon and Bamboo Island before heading to Maya Bay between 4 and 5 PM. This time is perfect as all of the day tours from mainland are headed back.

Perhaps you don't like to share this experience with other people? No problem!

Our lovely captains will take care of you during our Private Longtail tours, where you will be able to choose when to depart from Ton Sai Pier in Phi Phi.
